Health services in Buckinghamshire - shaping the future

Health services in Buckinghamshire - shaping the future.

The community outcomes framework is a joint project between community volunteers and the Clinical Commissioning Groups in Buckinghamshire.

Your views are important to us so we would be very grateful if you could read the Outcome Framework document and let us know your thoughts on it.

This is still a work in progress and we would welcome as many views as possible.

Background

Volunteer members of the public living in Buckinghamshire were asked for their views on the way healthcare services our managed in our community and what aspects of this are important to them.

These preferred experiences or ‘outcomes’ were then developed into a framework.

In the past, contracts for healthcare services often focused on activities rather than their consequences. In the future, contracts will put more emphasis on outcomes.

Consequently, these outcomes will be used to help design services in the future and be used to measure how well service providers do their work, and the community will have a big say in judging that.

The Outcomes Framework has been written by a small team of patient and public volunteers with relevant experience. It’s now reached the final draft stage, please see attached document.

Your comments by the end of April 2018 would be much appreciated.
